The lowest unit price is rarely the same as the best sourcing offer. A quotation may look attractive because it excludes packaging, uses a different material, assumes a higher order quantity, or stops at the factory gate. Another supplier may quote more per unit but include export packaging, better payment terms, a shorter lead time, and fewer specification exceptions. Unless these offers are normalized, the apparent price gap can be misleading.
